Personal Hygiene
Due to the fact that we will be serving people something they will consume, hygiene is very important. Cleanliness is vital and must be at the forefront of our minds. This means regular showering, clean clothes, and washing your hands while working. When possible, long hair should be pulled back and out of the way. If you are feeling ill and have obvious signs of illness, please do not serve in the coffee shop. Find someone to cover your shift.
Attitude
Our attitude while working is extremely important. You would not want to order coffee from Grumpy and neither would anyone else. While working, greet everyone with a smile, even when busy, and engage them in conversation. A positive, happy attitude will go a long way in helping to make our guests feel welcomed and help to solidify their desire to return. We are helping to create an experience, not just a coffee buzz.
